Quick answer

How do I buy a domain with crypto at PanamaRegistrar?

PanamaRegistrar lets you buy a domain with crypto: BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC. You top up a prepaid balance (minimum $25), send the exact amount on the exact network, and the top-up is credited after the network confirmations. A .com costs $11.99 a year. Monero is not accepted, as of October 2026.

Which coins and networks can I use to buy a domain?

Six coins, seven coin-and-network pairs. Pick the pair on the payment page, then send that coin on that network only.

CoinNetworkGood to know
Bitcoin (BTC)BitcoinNetwork fee varies with demand
Tether (USDT)Tron (TRC-20)Stable in dollars; needs TRX for the fee in your wallet
Tether (USDT)Ethereum (ERC-20)Stable in dollars; fee paid in ETH
USD Coin (USDC)Ethereum (ERC-20)Stable in dollars; fee paid in ETH
Ether (ETH)EthereumEthereum mainnet
Solana (SOL)SolanaLow fees
Litecoin (LTC)LitecoinLow fees

Funds sent on another network or in another coin cannot be recovered. The network fee is paid by the sender, on top of the amount.

Do you accept Monero?

No. Monero (XMR) is not accepted, at checkout or through support. The coins we take are the ones listed above: BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC.

We say it plainly because many guides assume every registrar paid in crypto takes Monero. If XMR is the only coin you hold, you would need to exchange it before topping up, and the exchange you use may apply its own identity rules.

How payment works, step by step

The same five steps for every top-up, whatever the coin. Deposit addresses appear only on the payment page in your account, never on this site.

  1. Top up $25 or more

Choose the amount and the coin (BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC). The crypto amount and its rate are locked for 30 minutes.

  2. Send it to the address shown, on the exact network

The payment page shows our deposit address for the coin and network you picked: BTC on Bitcoin, USDT on Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20), USDC on Ethereum (ERC-20), ETH on Ethereum, SOL on Solana, LTC on Litecoin. Send only that coin on that network: funds sent on another network or in another coin can’t be recovered. The network fee comes on top of the amount.

  3. Send the exact amount shown, then click “I’ve sent the payment”

Each top-up has its own exact amount (down to the last decimals): that is how we find your payment and link it to your account.

  4. Credited once your payment is checked on the blockchain

Your balance is credited once we have checked the transaction on the blockchain, after the network has confirmed it. Typical network confirmation times:

    CryptoNetworkConfirmationsUsual time
    BTCBitcoin2≈ 20 min
    USDTTron (TRC-20)20≈ 1 min
    USDTEthereum (ERC-20)12≈ 5 min
    USDCEthereum (ERC-20)12≈ 5 min
    ETHEthereum12≈ 5 min
    SOLSolana1≈ 1 min
    LTCLitecoin6≈ 15 min
  5. One balance for every domain

If you started from a domain search, the top-up is the price of your cart (or the minimum, for a smaller cart), and the domain is registered once the top-up is credited. What is left stays on your balance for renewals, transfers and new domains. Unused balance stays on your account and never expires, and it pays for new domains, renewals and transfers. When a purchase costs less than the minimum top-up, the part added only to reach the minimum is refundable on request to support within 30 days of the payment, in USDT or USDC, as long as it has not been spent. The rest of the balance is not paid back, except where the law requires it.

Closed the tab? The pending top-up stays under Billing in your account: open it to see the address and the exact amount again.

How do I buy a domain with crypto from start to finish?

Six moves, from search to a working domain.

  1. Search the name on the domain search. For .io, .co and .me, availability is confirmed by the registry only when the order is placed.
  2. Add it to the cart, with Domain protection if you want the domain in our company's name (+$29/year).
  3. Top up. The top-up equals the price of your cart, or the minimum of $25 for a smaller cart.
  4. Send the exact amount on the exact network to the address shown on the payment page, then confirm that you have sent it.
  5. Wait for the credit. The top-up is credited after the network confirmations, and the domain is registered once it is credited.
  6. Confirm your email for the domain. ICANN rules require it to be verified within 15 days, or the domain is suspended.

The email is the only contact data asked along the way: no name, no address, no ID document. See no-KYC domain registration.

What do you record about a crypto payment?

Only what is needed to credit your balance. Each top-up has its own exact amount, down to the last decimals, and that amount is how the payment is matched to your account on the payment page.

  • What we keep: the top-up (amount, coin, network, date) and the account it credited, so your balance and orders add up. These are part of the records listed on what we hold about you.
  • What we do not ask for: who owns the sending wallet, which exchange you used, or where the funds came from.
  • What is public anyway: a transaction on Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tron, Solana or Litecoin is visible to anyone on that blockchain. We cannot hide it, and we do not claim to.

Payment records follow our general rule: We release the data we hold only when Panamanian law requires it (a Panamanian court or prosecutor's order), or in a UDRP case. See data disclosure.

What happens to my balance after a top-up?

It stays on your account and pays for domains, renewals and transfers. The exact rule: Unused balance stays on your account and never expires, and it pays for new domains, renewals and transfers. When a purchase costs less than the minimum top-up, the part added only to reach the minimum is refundable on request to support within 30 days of the payment, in USDT or USDC, as long as it has not been spent. The rest of the balance is not paid back, except where the law requires it.

In practice this means two things. First, it is wise to top up close to what you plan to spend, since a balance is not a wallet. Second, the minimum of $25 only matters for small carts; a cart above it is topped up at its own price.

How much does a domain cost in crypto?

Prices are set in US dollars; you pay the crypto equivalent shown on the payment page. One price per extension: first year, renewal and transfer cost the same. Every extension is on the price list.

ExtensionPer yearWith Domain protection
.com$11.99+$29
.net$12.99+$29
.org$12.99+$29
.xyz$11.99+$29
.io$52.99+$29
.ai$85.49 (minimum 2 years)+$29

Paying for a domain with crypto: questions

Which crypto is best for paying a domain?

A stablecoin, if you want the amount to stay put: USDT on Tron (TRC-20) or USDC on Ethereum (ERC-20) are worth the same in dollars when they arrive. SOL and LTC have low network fees. BTC works too, but its fee varies with demand. Whatever you pick, send it on the network chosen on the payment page.

Do you accept Monero for domains?

No. Monero (XMR) is not accepted, and there is no workaround through support. We accept BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC. If your funds are in XMR, you would need to exchange them first; the exchange may have its own identity rules, which are outside our control.

What is the minimum payment?

The minimum top-up is $25. A cart that costs less is topped up to the minimum, and the rest stays on your balance for renewals or another domain; that added part is refundable on request within 30 days, in USDT or USDC, if it has not been spent. A cart that costs more is topped up at its exact price. The balance rule is on this page and in the terms.

What if I send the wrong amount?

The exact amount is how your payment is matched, so a different amount cannot be linked to your top-up on its own. Write to [email protected] with the exact amount, the coin, the network and the time you sent it, so the payment can be found. Funds sent on the wrong network or in the wrong coin cannot be recovered.

How long does it take for a payment to be credited?

It depends on the network's confirmations, which the payment-steps table above lists per coin. The top-up is credited after those confirmations, once the transaction is checked, and a domain in your cart is registered once the top-up is credited. We do not promise a fixed delay, because block times vary.

Can I get a refund in crypto?

Only where the balance rule allows it. Here is that rule as it stands: Unused balance stays on your account and never expires, and it pays for new domains, renewals and transfers. When a purchase costs less than the minimum top-up, the part added only to reach the minimum is refundable on request to support within 30 days of the payment, in USDT or USDC, as long as it has not been spent. The rest of the balance is not paid back, except where the law requires it. Refund requests go to [email protected].

Do I need an account or ID to pay?

You need an account, identified by a random account number, and one verified email per domain. You do not need an ID document, a selfie or a phone number, and the payment page asks for none. ICANN rules require the email to be verified within 15 days, or the domain is suspended. See no-KYC domain registration.
