Prices in US dollars per year. A .ai is registered and renewed 2 years at a time, so the first payment is twice the yearly price.
Domain protection only: sold only with Domain protection (registered in our company's name), because the registry requires a name and postal address; it receives those of DomaineGoat LLC, never yours. The price shown includes the $29/year for it.
Why is the renewal the same price as the first year?
Because a price you can plan is part of a predictable procedure. Many registrars sell the first year below cost with a promo code and recover it at renewal; their renewal prices and codes change often, so check them on the registrar's own page on the day you buy. At PanamaRegistrar the .com costs $11.99 in year one and $11.99 in year five.
The same rule covers transfers. Moving a domain in costs $11.99 for a .com and adds one year to its expiry date, as ICANN rules provide for gTLD transfers. For a country-code extension, whether a year is added depends on its registry, and the checkout says so.
What does Domain protection cost, and what does it include?
Domain protection costs +$29 a year per domain, on top of the extension price. A .com with the option therefore costs $11.99 + $29 a year. It includes four things:
- the domain is registered in the name of DomaineGoat LLC, so the registry and WHOIS/RDAP show our company, never you; you stay the beneficial owner and can take it back in your own name, free;
- a transfer lock is on by default, and any transfer or DNS change must be confirmed from your account;
- your data is kept to a minimum: we hold only your email, released only under our data disclosure rule;
- every complaint is read by a person before any action on the domain, and you are told when the law allows it. This point exists only with the option.
Twelve extensions are sold with Domain protection only: .de, .uk, .nl, .cc, .to, .ch, .pl, .be, .at, .cz, .nz, .fi. Their registries require a holder name and a postal address, so the registry receives those of DomaineGoat LLC. For them, the table above already shows the total. The Domain protection page explains each point and its limits.
How do registry price rises reach our prices?
Each registry sets a wholesale price, and every registrar pays it. Verisign raises the .com wholesale price from $10.26 to $10.97 on 1 November 2026, plus the ICANN fee of $0.20 per year, per osir.com. The .net wholesale price goes from $10.91 to $12.00 on 1 March 2027, per Domain Name Wire (27 August 2026).
Our price list is valid until 31 December 2026. When a registry rise forces a change, the new price is published here and in pricing.json before it applies, with the date. A renewal is charged at the price shown on the day it is paid from your balance.
How do I pay?
In crypto only: BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC. You top up a prepaid balance (minimum $25), send the exact amount on the exact network shown on the payment page, and the top-up is credited after the network confirmations. Registrations, renewals and transfers are then paid from the balance. Unused balance stays on your account and never expires, and it pays for new domains, renewals and transfers. When a purchase costs less than the minimum top-up, the part added only to reach the minimum is refundable on request to support within 30 days of the payment, in USDT or USDC, as long as it has not been spent. The rest of the balance is not paid back, except where the law requires it.
There is no card, no subscription and no automatic charge to a wallet. Monero is not accepted. The steps and confirmation counts are on the crypto payment page.
Frequently asked questions
Is WHOIS privacy extra?
No. WHOIS/RDAP privacy is free on every extension that allows a privacy service; what stays public depends on each registry. On the 12 extensions sold with Domain protection only, the registry receives our company's details instead of yours, and the option is included in the price shown.
Is the .ai price per year?
Yes. The .ai registry requires registrations and renewals of at least 2 years, so a new .ai costs twice $85.49 at checkout, and each renewal covers 2 years as well.
Do you charge to transfer a domain out?
No. The transfer code is free, from your account, at any time, except in the 60 days after a registration or a transfer (ICANN Transfer Policy) and while a UDRP or court lock applies. There is no exit fee. The registrar that receives the domain charges its own transfer price.
Can I add Domain protection later?
Yes. Choose it per domain at checkout, on any of the 43 extensions of the offer, or add it later from the domain in your client area: the first charge is pro rata of $29 a year until the expiry date, then $29 is added to each renewal. On a transfer in, $29 covers the year the transfer adds, and the time already paid at your current registrar is billed pro rata from your balance once the transfer is done. Ending the option puts the domain back in your own name, free; nothing already paid for it is refunded.
Why are some extensions not sold?
Because their registry asks for more than one verified email and does not accept our company as the holder: .us requires a United States nexus and bans privacy services, .eu, .fr and .it require residence in the European Union or EEA, .ca requires a Canadian presence. We do not sell an extension we cannot register honestly.
Where is the machine-readable price list?
In pricing.json: every extension with its first-year, renewal and transfer price, the Domain protection price and the date of the last update. The same figures appear on the official facts page.
